She'll be fine. Our older son is just off to Belize for a year, he's 26 and hasn't learnt how to tie his laces yet.

Slip on shoes are the answer.

she'll be fine, and if she does anything wrong then it's a live and learn thing
i'm 16 and in February this year took the train down to the new forest (other side of the country near on compared to my home of kent)
i was flying by my self from air ports i had never even seen at both ends when i was about 14 or 15

she'll come back in one piece and probably having learnt a few bits and probably not in too much trouble
Cheers Ed

You don't say how old she is but mines twenty and moved out this year , not a million miles away but I don't think you ever stop worrying. Son is twenty four and says he's happy to stay at home ...... Bugger lol

2 of my 6 now live by themselves, although daughter is home for the summer, and what I have learned over the past few years is that you are better off not knowing what they're up to.

as a non believer, I believe that my two daughters are my penance for all of the things I did before they came along.

not sure if that helps or not.

have a beer and don't worry - if you've ever been to Tenerife and bothered to get out of the two main tourist places, its a lovely place to be. I am sure the boys extended family will be ever protective of her. they will more than likely appreciate the fact that she is there in the first place.

One at uni and I've generally found that I worry a bit less than when she's here and I know she's not back in yet. Somehow when she is away it's easier to be a little more relaxed. The next one should be going this autumn.... Last exam was today so no sign of them at home already out celebrating. I'll worry a bit more about them as they have as much common sentence as a toe nail.... Really I can't think of anything to be quite so helpless..... Hopefully they will survive! But I guess that's our job.... To let go at some point!

My kids have all left home and I still worry about them. One of my sons is a first response police officer, which means he goes into all the dodgy situations, usually alone, due to cuts. My other is a Psychiatric head nurse in a unit where he is looking after mentally unstable violent criminals. Both my lads have attacked more than once. My two girls are in more gentle occupation,s but they both have been off working, or something, abroad before settling. One in Greece the other Australia. The worry never stops. Part of the parent thing I reckon. I thought it would be all off my hands when they were 18. Not a chance.
