Dawes Giro 300

I have just 25mins of an ebay auction for the Dawes Giro 300 (2005) I am the highest bidder at the moment for £112

What do you guys think of this bike/make etc, has anyone had any experience with this bike?

It looks cheap and in not the best condition. I wouldn't of paid anything for it, it looks junk. But if you have a very low budget I would of only recomended about 100.

lets hope the price doesn't shoot up at the last moment then.

it will do for my first road bike. I can always upgrade later on.

it just went over my £120 budget anyway. lol

Went for £132.

I had one of those a few years back. I liked it. Only problem was the gears were RSX or something (I can't remember). The front shifter played up then failed altogether. It was difficult finding a replacement and ended up getting one from America.
I ended up selling the bike.

okay. sounds like I am glad I didn't buy it.

Any suggestions on where best to look for a budget bike? £120 at most.

Judging by the number of people on here looking for cheap road bikes I can only say join the queue (I'm not in it by the way!).

cool. maybe I just need to save up a bit more then.

I'll keep looking around in the mean time. I just want to get the bike and get rolling now.
