Super frosty here at Worlds End. Most unusual...but a stunning morning!

Plenty of ice on the car windows this morning. Easily dealt with by a soaking from a watering can of warm water.
Thing is the hot water takes an age to get to the kitchen tap so I'm going to fill the can up with warm water tonight so it's ready and waiting in the morning.

Why is it that days seem to get darker very quickly once the clocks go back, but take ages for them to get light for longer before the clocks go forward again?

because day to day daylight time changes by a couple of minutes around the equinoxes, and mere seconds around the solstices.
