I have become fascinated by this bob dylan song, and have been unable to stop singing it whilst cycling recently.

It's an amazing song, maybe with religious overtones, and you can't tell whether it's about someone else dying, yourself dying... or even suicide.

For me it's just the pinnacle of the art of the accomplished songwriter. The one who can pick at your outer consciousness like a crow.

dunno. I just love the craft and ambiguity.

The way it ends up talking about 'burning flesh' like a war, and finding 'law abiding citizens'... like a moral code.

I've been playing guitar and singing for as long as you have, but I love a songwriter who can tackle death. That song for me is ironic because it is just so lazily beautiful and clever.

Maybe too clever.
