Want good quality panniers in a mid-range price.

I know that Orlieb are the benchmark, but I don't want to pay Ortlieb prices.

Most usage will be a 25 mile daily commute. Occasional UK overnight tours in the spring/summer.

Would prefer the roll-over panniers - i.e two side sections and one on top.

I'd recommend these from EBC. Very good VFM.

Wiggle haven't been stocking anything other than the front DHB panniers for a while, or at least they weren't when I've looked.

I've recently bought the EBC ones, well chuffed for under fifty quid. Made by Vaude apparently, which I take to be a good thing.

Ortlieb.

Yeah, but IBM were so arrogant they thought they're business would never fail. It almost did :stop:.

The thing about Ortlieb panniers is that if you were to buy a pair as a teenager you could fairly confidently put them in your will for your grandchildren.

Not my experience at all. I've had Carradice, Ortlieb and Vaude, all lasted around 5 years of daily use. I'm satisfied with that, though there's plenty of round the world tourers who don't get a year out of them.
