my Ridley Helium has Forza deep rim wheels with Levanto DB tyres they are a pain to change at home in the dry so it would be a nightmare
on the road in bad conditions, any ideas as to a good wheel replacement for such a bike, fingers crossed.

Some tyre/rim combo's don't work well. If you aren't tubeless, I'd talc the inside of the tyre and the tube and refit.

After a while the tyres tend to stretch ime.

I built some wheels which see a pain they got better tbh.

Pretty much been my experience too, the older the tyre the easier it is to fit, but also the more likely you are to get a puncture.

It's possible too that the rim tape on those rims is too thick, I would first try finding thinner rim tape and see if that improves the ability to put those tires on before I would jump off the bridge and buy new rims. There is also Velocity Veloplugs, or similar plugs; these are small plugs that push into the spoke hole. Problem with rim plugs is that some won't fit certain rims, so I would go with the thin rim tape.
