My LBS fitted a new chain and derailluer to my bike a while ago, and as posted in another thread every now and then there are some weird noises, particularly under load coming from the back wheel.
Today while cleaning the chain I spotted the chain is a Deore HG-X which I understand to be for mountain bikes not road bikes!? Why would the LBS do this and is this likely to be causing any of my components harm, it was a brand new derailleur put on at the same time as the chain so I will be far from happy if any damage could be being done...
