Quite a few armies use the M42 helmet - or variants thereof. The basic design dates back to WW1, but as it's an effective design, has survived in various guises to the present day. Case of if it ain't broke, don't fix it LOL.

Even the US army has a similar (though independently developed) helmet design.
Isn't the M42 also a rifle?

There are 2 series of Hunting Hitler, with some very compelling evidence that top Nazis did escape from Berlin, before the Soviet forces brought the war to an end, indeed the bodies that were burned outside the Fuhrer Bunker were never proved to be those of Adolf & Eva Braun, the remains of the house & barracks in the jungle at Misiones in Argentina, along with other properties in Argentina & Chile, witnesses who saw U-Boats land people of the East Coast of Argentina, witnesses who saw planes land & drop off Nazis in Northern Spain, the Property at Villa Baviera, Chile, previously known as Colonia Dignidad, the evidence does seem to lean towards the creation of a Fourth Reich by those who got away, also why were these people trying to create Nuclear Power, even, it's suspected detonating a small nuclear device in the Thuringian Forest, Germany, near to the end of the war, along with witness evidence. The evidence turned up in series 1 & 2 when put together is very intriguing, after all why would the FBI, MI5,& the Russians waste time searching for deadmen if they weren't
very concerned with what these people were up to.
The third series starts on Monday 08/01/18 at 9pm.
