Did I cut this guy up?

I'm posting this up as I'd like to think I'm a considerate cyclist/driver/road user.
I was riding home the other night and this chap complained that I'd cut him up. I don't think I did, so it's bugging me a little. I always think if someone actually complains then usually you've really got their back up, so I'm looking for constructive criticism/advice here.

Perhaps I was a little close to him as he drifted right? Maybe he was upset I let the other cyclist change lanes and it slowed him down,

Your thoughts please.

Did you signal your intention to turn left? If you did then I can't really see the problem you were ahead of him and signaled your intentions, if you didn't then he wouldn't have been expecting it and you may well have caught him out as you turned.

Looks like you were overtaking him from his right and then let the cyclist in front have some space. He's just moaning for the sake of moaning

Yes I definitely signalled. I shoulder checked, saw he was there and signalled. So I don't think the left turn would have upset him.

I'm starting to think that he might be a "moaner". He did make some "rookie" mistakes like not shoulder checking before changing lanes and going up the inside of a car about to parallel park.

Quite hard to tell with a forward facing camera. It did look like he objected to you overtaking him as he seemed to put the guns down.
Yeah perhaps he didn't like being overtaken. He was quite keen to put the guns down for the next 2 miles. I just stayed behind and got a free "lift".

If you overtook him close to the junction and turned across him you're at fault. If you were ahead of him in the runup to the junction and signalled then he's just being silly.

Not enough on the video to see exactly the circumstances but it appears he's whining unnecessarily. I would suggest whether you clearly indicated with sufficient time for him ti react is key.

No idea - without a rear cam it's guesswork. I would not lose sleep over it though.

Yeah can't see a signal to turn left but as long as you did then it's his problem. Some cyclists just don't like being overtaken, he should have just cracked on
