On 'Wish You Were Here' BBC4.

I'd not seen a picture of him taken after 1968, but last night they showed a photo of him taken when he turned up at Abbey Road in 1975, it was a real shock, Mrs VC had a tear.

Very sad.

Just played 'Wish You Were Here' on vinyl.

It took me 30 years to get into Pink Floyd.

Ive been researching Sid aftwer the documentry on TV and found it so sad when he turned up at Abbey Road

Mine too, but they wouldn't have been half the group without him. Artists can produce great work and still be obnoxious.

Saw it, yeah, pretty shocking. I think it's reproduced in Nick Mason's book Inside Out. Still, on a positive note, the Australian Pink Floyd have announced the UK tour dates for 2013 and it's the 40th anniversary of DSOM. I'd thoroughly recommend seeing them as it's the closest to Floyd you'll get these days.

RIP Syd & Rick, both blown on the steel breeze.

With Syd is that it is others paint a sad history.

His own personal avenues since then are very quite unknown but his link with the group was always very tenuous, even at his peak.
