Didn't plan that...

Set off for a quick 12-miler, got back after 31.5. Avg 10.2mph. Honestly didn't know I'd got that many miles back in my legs yet.

Downside: fell off. L/h brake lever caught fence as coming to a stop for gates. Ended up on left side in nettles...no damage, although noticed my back light missing when I got home.
Suppose I should be grateful I don't have faster offs!

Unless you are talking about cycling before 6am I don't know how you cope with this heat wave.

I agree 100%! I was stationary when I did this!

Nice collage. xx(

Looks a sore one.

My three offs so far were at 15mph (Lovely gravel rash and new skid lid needed), 2mph (permanently damaged shoulder), and 2mph (permanently damaged back light).
Compared to those offed by cars, I'll consider myself lucky.

Haha  I took a picture of it every day i’m weird like that!

It was very sore it happened 3 weeks ago and it’s still not completely right but it’s getting there slowly.

Ah, that makes sense now, was wondering why it seemed to look like you had 3 knees elbows and shoulders (or mix of any of those) .... Was staring to think your bike must be the most speciality bespoke type ever made...

Another thing: those that know this stretch of NCN27 know all about that steep bit between Horrabridge and Leg O'Mutton. I decided as I approached the road crossing below it that I would deviate and follow the A386 up the hill to the roundabout. Much easier, but more time in traffic (1 mile) than I normally spend in several rides. Horrific. But that deviation gave me the legs, with hindsight.
