Seen it too often to dismiss it as "Just a few idiots".
Its not uncommon to see this twattery in Richmond park . I think its Kingston gate that has the pony school with little girls crossing the road on horse back and living the dream only for some idiot to come screaming off the hill when everyone else has stopped .

You can imagine what has happened. Bunch are racing down the road. Horse ahead. Those on the outside go around the horse (too fast but at least they went around it). Those on the inside are left with a choice: to go outside they have to brake and go behind the fast cyclists outside them. Or keep up their speed and fly up the inside

Starting to think it's possible that this was on a blind corner on a closed circuit and the cyclists coming around the corner in a group, therefore with limited visibility of the horse in the road around the corner?
I honestly don't think any cyclist would choose to overtake on the inside of a horse at speed, no matter how much a cock they are.

Judging by the distance the horse travels on the video, it was not right on a corner.
They chose to not lose ground to their competitors.
