If the pump works and all the pipes and filters are clear then my guess it is whatever it telling the pump to work that is at fault.

Pump will run if - programme is telling it to run AND the water level indicator is telling it there is water to pump.
Assume the programme bit is OK as that is a tricky bit to deal with so look at the water level indicator.

I have had the same problem on a washing machine and that is controlled by a tube that comes out the sump and water pushes up it to throw a switch. That got gunked up with washing powder. Same sort of thing on a dishwasher.

As a general rule, it's always worth ignoring the ECO cycle once in a while and flushing the machine through with a planet-busting high temperature wash. It shifts build-ups of gunk and fat. I was told this by a Bosch engineer as I was writing him a cheque for £130 after he had showed me the sheets of fat that lurked within.

Now run a hot wash on the weekends. We were getting significant build-up of fat in all parts, including the spinners.

In answer to the OP, we keep getting intermittent stops. The solution is to open and shut the door again. At this point, the washer resumes its cycle, and usually finishes too.
