I'm glad there is an option to say why Strava is a pointless pissing contest ^_^
Oh good - not just me then!

I just use it because it logs where I have been - helps me find new routes especially after I get lost and find a new path but have no idea where it was!!!

Generally, the most popular motivations for road cycling in general and for using Strava were more individual, and social aspects were (surprisingly for me) not as important. People who used Strava rode further and were more motivated by competition and improving their skills than Non-Strava users, but things like nature and tranquility were equally important to everyone, suggesting that escaping everyday life and riding in nice surroundings is still the biggest motivator and Strava has not surpassed this, which I think is nice to see.

Thanks again for all the responses as it made this all possible, and hopefully you found it interesting.
Glyn.

Not often that people asking for a questionnaire to be filled in come back and make their results known.
Thanks for coming back to do just that.

+1 to everyone thanking @Glyn16 for posting results.
Not just because we always ask and so few do, but also because the results are interesting to look at. So thanks, @Glyn16
