DMR V6 Cheap Plastic Pedals, adding an oil port.

I got a pair of inexpensive, but good DMR V6 pedals. They were a bit stiff due to having bushes not bearings, so I drilled a small hole in the side of the plastic axle. Then I pumped in some oil from a oil bottle until the oil leaked from the top and bottom of the axle. I then filled the holes with a blob of silicon.

I can easily remove the silicon and add more oil when needed or add a grub screw.

You'll have to keep on top of it, can't think they will last long running on oil.

They should already have a grub screw. If not you could add one if you have the tools

and you should add grease (not oil) using a syringe

Thanks for your advice, but the inexpensive DMR V6 pedals don't already have a grub screw and with regular oiling they will be fine, I'll just oil them when I'm oiling the chain....................

Guy had bought Shimano! Unfortunately, he mangled an ankle and found that his SPDs no longer felt comfortable.

I rode behind Guy on my recent Cheshire forum ride and the damage was obvious - his right foot is twisted round by a significant angle.
