I don't know what you've got on there now but I've had 3 pairs of those pedals and liked them. I found them grippy with trainers in the mud and wet. I've got a scabby pair you can borrow if you want to try before you buy.

If I ever get my mtb fettled again I think I'd be looking to go clipless but they were an improvement on what I was using previously.

They did bite me occasionally but that could have been poor riding skills.

Just a word of advice though. The paint on V8s tends to wear quickly and look shabby. Get the plain alloy ones if you're worried about looks.

(Great pedals by the way, especially the fact that you can regrease the spindle bearings without stripping them)

Just to Echo that be careful with the studs, if your foot slips of the pedal in the wet they can make a mess of your shin thats one of the reasons I went clipless.

Same here. Had a nasty incident where they tore a couple chunks of flesh from a shin, A&E job. Went clipless straight afterward.

I have those. The only problem I've had is that the removable pins can remove themselves. If they do just buy M4 8mm grub screws as they are cheaper and easier to get than the official DMR pins (tried buying them from evans who sent me the longer 10mm pins, when I contacted them they checked the other pins, swore they were 8mm and then sent me another bag of 10mm terror pins :becool: )
Some folks suggest the Wellgo equivalents as better value.
