Do i need to by a new frame just to get a better make bike ?

Well this, but make it a more significant upgrade than the basic Ribble frame ....

I will be looking at a new bike this time next year when i have some money availble to me buy the Saracen or whatever frame will always be a commuter.

Just the make, when im out riding on a Sunday and stop at a cafe with all the other bike's, i just wonder what they think.

I'm not sure they think anything other than that's a useful bike in fine condition ....Fcuk what anyone else thinks, it's not about the bike, that's just snobbery bullshcitt.

The bike looks tidy and has a decent enough spec frame. If you fancy a change by all means, but I'm sure most of us would be quite happy to have the old Sarry on our fleet.

That's a mighty fine bike. You could of course just buy an Equilibrium frame and swap the bits over instead of buying complete. In that way you could afford a better spec frame.

I'm guessing being the boss he has more money than you. Does your employer offer cycle to work? Might be a way to get your new bike at a lower cost...but make sure it's properly insured whatever you do

Yes my equilibrium frame and fork were £400. You'll need long drop brakes

Yes he has a lot more money than me, kids left home, house paid off and a managers wage. Ive got 2 young children, saving for a house and a wedding in two weeks !!!!

Our company doesnt offer c2w as i work for a car dealer... They want us in brand new cars not brand new bike.
