Yup, don't like the styling of the rear seat & chain stay's.

Yup, seen that.
Thing is, I'm in no rush to get a new bike.
And whilst thinking about it whilst this thread has been running, I think I would be in the game for both a Ti and a Carbon jobbie 9both disc brakes). So the VN would have to go too.

It does tick all the right boxes (incl. Di2) apart from the black seat tube and Genesis graphics. They would have to go.

Keep me posted if going for a song...that said I'm not in the market for a new bike really. Indeed, I recently passed up bidding on a Condor ti on fleabay, I may live to regret

I'll keep you in mind.

Shame you're a short arse otherwise I would have been very very interested in the VN

The only thing i dont like about that is the position of the rear caliper.........would prefer it inbound of the rear triangle

Yep, that is the preferred isn't it.
It was for me along with a tapered headtube

But we are all different in what we look for in a bike and how it feels

Whatever you purchase and put together in Ti im sure it will be a great bike

Yep, that is the preferred isn't it.

An outboard rear calliper suggests an old design to me - most are now inboard, certainly on mountain/trekking bike frames.

However, the width of the rear triangle may have something to do with it.

An inboard calliper needs a wider triangle at the axle.

If you are long of foot, there can be very little clearance between the inside of your heel and the chain stay.

The designers of this frame may be aiming to give the rider a narrow, tucked in position.

That would make sense on a road frame built for speed.
