I saw a cyclist last night wearing led wrist bands. One was red, the other green.

Why?

The only thing I could think of is that he was using the maritime scheme to signal port and starboard.

He had them arranged correctly, red on the left, green on the right.
Umm no. Unless he yelled "Hard a starboard" or "Hard a port" before turning, in which case accept my apologies.;)

We live in a University Town with a very large Chinese / Milayian population if you could teach them left and right and port and starboard it would certainly help on the tow paths and cycle tracks. Some of them don't have a clue.

Saw a post yesterday on FB for indicators that fixed into your bar ends.

Totally useless though, from the front if you have drop bars, and from the rear if you have riser bars.

If you are the type of rider who positions themselves correctly coming up to a junction - chances are, the light blinking will be obscured by your body anyway.

Some helmets and backpacks/saddle bags have indicators built into them controlled by a doodad on the handlebars. There can be expensive, but there’s a cheap set on Groupon from a Spanish company.
