I don't know for sure, but I wouldn't say that there is much weight difference between m+ and say slime or other puncture protection.

Trike, yes; Brompton, no, as it's easy to switch transport modes with that (well, when there's not a tube strike on, anyway).

I'm not using M+s right now but I always carried puncture stuff when I did. In two years commuting in London on them, I really couldn't fault them. I had two roadsides. The first was a 38mm nail that went sideways into the tyre right up by the rim, Heaven knows how. The second was because I badly patched a tube and it leaked. Great tyres.

I think I've been particularly lucky.
They are a bit heavier and slower, but faster than changing a tube!

Don't want to get stuck anywhere with a punctured tyre so both my roadie & mtb are equipped with a spare tube, levers & mini pump.

Yes m+ for me, but pump and tubes too. The only puncture I have had was a 3 inch nail, and it was then I discovered that the cheap pump I had been carrying around for a year had frayed its airline in my backpack and was useless. So I now carry a topeak mini morph, which was £35 from my lbs and I have never used.

I still love my m+ tyres, though. Before them, I was getting punctures all the time.

Edit - for m+, I also carry small lengths of rope to help get the tyres on and off.
The mini morph is top notch I got one from Websters in Leicester and the owner (Martin) was quite shocked when I showed him that they turned in a small track pump. I think it was the first one he'd ever sold/looked at.

To avoid having to remember, each of my 4 bikes has inner tubes, patches, a pump and mini-tool permanently attached.

Yes, I used mine once to test it and I was very impressed - it's almost as good as my full size track pump.

Hrmm to do that maths. M+ vs regular marathons:

700x25
M+ 590g, regular M 520g

700x32
M+ 800g, regular M 740g

When I fill an inner up with No Stans I use about 50ml per tyre, although that's on knobblies, prolly more like 20 or 30ml in a smaller volume tyre. Actually Marathons probably aren't a great example as they've already a fairly decena pucture belt.

I have had marathons on my bike since 2010 and only one puncture. However, you should always carry the kit because, that one time when you don't, s**t happens.
