Do you buy something cycling every month ?

Every month?! Who waits that long?

It's hard not to spend ! I tend do buy things I don't even need but can't help myself once they catch my attention

Well, actually I did make one of my occasional purchases this month. And as it happens I bought something last month too, but that doesn't prove anything. And the stuff I bought the in February I really needed, OK? And in January I was actually saving money by taking advantage of the sales. And in December, well ... who isn't allowed to treat themselves to an early present?

Always seem to be paying out for some thing bike related but consider it money well spent.

I was talking to a smoker who buys a 20 packet of cigarettes every day and was told it costs him over £3500 a year. Much more than i have spent on cycling in over 10 years.

My bikes are used both for transport and sport/fun so cycling for me saves the money (or more) spend on them plus if i ever sold a bike/bikes i would get some of the spend back.

Well ......... I haven't bought anything today (yet?)

Yesterday, a bike jumble - bought a couple of Delta Fork clamps, and a Selle Italia SLK saddle. Rock Bros bell a couple of weeks ago, there's always something one needs isn't there?

... and then there were the carbon bottle cages, and the new frame for the winter bike, chainset, long drop brakes ........ seat post .........front mech clamp. So in answer to the OP, yes, I think I do

I am a nightmare for small £10- £15 purchases. Will often go into a bike shop for a nose about, or a few gels perhaps and inevitably leave with a saddle bag or bar tape

I tend to periodically splurge. I might go months buying nothing, and then suddenly buy a dozen bits at once. Averaged out over time its probably in excess of an item a week.

Bones healed with bits missing, but OK. Still in pain though. Crap happens. Still riding and planning an expensive Enduro MTB

Last thing I bought was a new inner tube for daughter's bike.
And I treated mr6 to some bike spray in the sale.
Haven't bought a thing since beginning of February.

I normally get something most months, I tend to buy things out of season and on sale if I know I will need it in the future.

but then I went in for new tyres the other week and came out with new wheels as well! lol

Thought this was supposed to be a cheap hobby - I can't seem to get through a month without buying something ......Can you ?
