I have an old Puch Cavalier. Built her up, made her mine and I love her. She goes almost everywhere with me, and when not with me I miss her. Yes you can love a bike!

I love my bike and I tell her so on a regular basis.

I have hugged my bike. I have had angry words with my bike and she has stuck by me through thick and thin.

During the riots she slept in my bedroom.

The trouble is, once I personify something, I find it very difficult to get out of my head, the idea that they have feelings.

I had to once ask an ex to stop drawing smiley faces on bits of paper, because it used to make me cry when they got thrown away.
