Biro. Have got 530 and 425 written there at the moment.

I used to work with someone who really hated me doing it, she reckoned the ink was poisonous.

I've always done it, and I remember lots of people saying the same thing. I have those nice Uniball fineliners on my desk, but they are rubbish for it, wearing off in no time - cheap biros are best. I have the word "BILL" on my left hand, a shadow of which has just about survived the night's/morning's ablutions. And no, I do not have "BEN" written on my right, before anyone asks...

All the time. I mislay bits of paper notebooks and fag packets all the time but I haven't managed to lose my hand so far.

in felt tip? Or ball point?

I used to consider this a touch 'infra-dig' but I've got in to the habit and I've no idea why.

Quite often yes.

Have any of you ever heard of paper? That's what I write on. It is very useful and can be folded in your pocket.
Try it and you may be pleasantly surprised! Very cheap too.

I'm with Ravenbait on this one.

Ballpoints are the work of the devil.
Fountain pens are far more civilised.

Although I do wish the Rotring Artpen I'm currently using was a tad shorter......

Paper?

None of that modern rubbish in here. You can't beat dried calf skin.
