Car dealers used to put their dodgy stock through the auctions - a typical scam would be to swap a good engine or gearbox for a worn-out one first.

Recently I've noticed the same sort of thing on ebay. One bike, described as a 'Kronan', had caliper brakes and rust on its shiny rear wheel. Kronans have always had drum brakes and colour-coded aluminium wheels!

Has anybody else seen something similar?

Nice looking carbon road frame, until you search for it as a completed listing and find out its been repaired, no mention of this on the listing

must admit i bought a group of bikes of the bay last month all good apart from one which had seen a front ender at some point as down tube well creased so i lost on one and gained on others so its all about asking questions and asking for better & more pictures . i always try and do cash on collection as that way you can walk away , when you get to see bike in skin , might naff seller off but if its something they have not mentioned or shown , dont buy it .
