...pee you off when drivers overtake you as you approach a stationary line of traffic.... and then pull in towards the kerb to try and stop you filtering....

no....I filter on the right......

What winds me up is when I'm driving and late for a meeting and need to push on...

I see a bicycle ahead but need to make a left turn just past where he is. I speed up to get past, make a good overtake and then brake hard whilst hitting the indicator and try to swing left before contact becomes an issue.

More often than not I make the turn without incident (apart from the usual foul-mothed tirade one can expect from cyclists and their non-Road-Tax-paying bretheren).

When I don't make a clean swing left, it turns into some absurd and melodramatic anti-motorist witch-hunt.

Try paying Road Tax and people might start taking your views more seriously, I say.

If there is maybe half a dozen cars in the queue, then I don't have an issue, but when they are joining a queue which has about 30 cars between them and a light controlled junction, I just don't see the point.

Yes, that and cars overtaking at pinch points. I've driven past these narower sections of road just to see how much room there would be for a cyclist and the answer is not much!

Doesn't pee me off  Flick the bike right, pass on the right hand side, and sometimes filter back on the left straight in front of them, just to prove they were being an ass. You'll also get ones who are sat in a queue, see you coming up either left or right, and pull into your path - again a quick flip of the bike and pass on the other side. :cycle:

I pass a long queue of slow moving traffic sometimes, I pass on the right and some drivers veer right to bloakc me. It's quite funny.

I get a lot more respect on the motorbike TBH...probably because they know that they won't lose me if they do something deliberately dangerous and stupid.

I had to go a different route home last night and carried out a lovely filter down the right hand side - nothing coming the other way - must have overtaken a mile of traffic. Beautiful.

Can honestly say that in the same position, I have only ever had vehicles pull over to give me more room. A friendly wave or thumbs up as I go past and on I go.

I did have a twat in a white van make the closest pass I've experienced in 15 years of commuting last night. He got an unfriendly wave of the 'self-gratification artist' variety.

This.

Any frustration is ironed out by exclamations of what I assume is envy leaking from the cars I pass, at least I think I they're noises of envy...
