Dog attack.

I very nearly had my nose bitten off today . A whippet snapped at my face and connected with my nose/upper lip. Fortunately for me she didn't actually 'grab' anything but I'm left with a sore hooter none the less.
It sounds more dramatic than it was but it could have been really nasty. Tbh I can't really blame the dog because I didn't see her on the sofa and I did sort of loom over her and lean right in. This, after I'd moved in on her on another couple of chairs. I didn't see her coming. One second looking at the cushions on the sofa next second I'm whacked in the face, glasses spin off and I'm stood there blinking wondering what the **** had happened.
Close call.

Still........................I got a nice job out of it.

Dogs don't miss when they snap, if she'd wanted to she would have ripped your face right off - she was warning you! And who can blame her? a dogs place on the sofa is sacrosanct!

I too have had whippets and have never found them snappy. Maybe I have just been lucky. Now a Greyhound I once had would have had you good and proper. He was a bit iffy to say the least. As Sara H said, the dog's sofa space is sacrosanct and they are never to be disturbed while sleeping on it.

Glad you are not hurt Colly, its never nice to see dog teeth so close up.
