Theres a lot of staffs getting abandoned it seems. Friend of mine has just taken in a 2/3 year old (dog centre couldnt tell exactly) that was found abandoned. He mentioned that its great around people (and shoes!) but gets a bit angry towards other dogs, has to keep him on the lead so far until trained properly.
Sorry to here about the OP incident, I have been chased and fortunately escaped on more than one occasion by loose dogs. I tend to stay clear of all dogs bar ones I know and trust now.

Battersea dog and cats home is pretty much full of Staffies.
Tells you everything really. I have wanted a dog for years but I know I don't have the time and money to give over to having one. They're a living, breathing thing, not a toy, or a status symbol.

Lovely dogs but couldn't cope with the slobbering and spit. I make a bee-line away from our local NF over the park, as nice as he is. They're great to see working though.
