Dogs chasing cyclists.

Barking dog chased me along the canal towpath the other day. I deliberately slowed to make it easy for it to keep up and waited to see how far away from its yelling owner I could get it. Amused me for a minute or two.

How many sausages did you use up.

Only ever had one "uh oh" moment with a dog. Narrow canal tow path. Enormous, muscular guard dog type coming my way, off the lead. It saw me and tensed. So did I. Had the "uh oh!" thought. Then it lay down in the middle of the path and gave me a look as if to say "Ha! Gotcha!".

My sister's dog used to have two major hates in the world: Postmen, and people on bicycles. Postmen on bicycles ... the devil incarnate.

She's grown out of it now (the dog, not my sister) and if I'm walking her and see a postman on a bike I'll tighten the lead just in case, and she'll give me a weary look "What's the matter? Never seen a postman on a bike before? Humans ... I dunno".
