taken off last night and won't be back on for a bit.
In good visability with me in bright yellow (and a helmet) cyling along at the edge of the cycle lane driver pulled out in front of me. Bike and I flew across bonnet and hit road.
just about had time to get half a swear word out.
They at least stopped (company van) and we exchanged details. they took me anf bike to AnE which I thought for a couple of minutes I wouldn't need but quicky decided it would be a good idea. X rays show a clearly broken collerbone.
Bike's in better shape than I am - slightly buckled wheel might be all. Will take to bike shop soon for full checkout.
Guess there is little point in contacting company direct? and go straight for the lawyers? or is it politer to be in touch first.
Don't know how I could have avoided this one. I was as wide out and visible as the road allowed, and had been watching them I thought driver had seen me.
