I used to be an electroplater. I am used to working to a tolerance of +/- 3um and I am not even going to give her that.

5 months on Sunday. 5 months ago tomorrow we got the keys and she complained that we hoovered and disturbed her.

All logged on a word document and we have a paper copy pinned to the noteboard too.

My typing on a tablet is pants too. The keyboard just won't do as its told.
I have some Dolly Parton somewhere ^_^
Most keyboards require that you tap the keys in order to get it to work, not talk to it to get it to work.

Total control freak, best ignored. Can't believe anyone would live differently to please a neighbour when doing sod all wrong in the first place!

Theres a lot more to it than her being a Nutter!
The Carpets for a start, with Acoustic Underlay, but that is a long way off, need to find out if this woman is under any medication from her Doctor, if so, for what!

Please, to repeat what others have said, enough with the comments and "jokes" about this woman's mental health.

What's more, I think you'll find that her medical records are as private as your own and none of your business.

@Saluki - I hope you can get this resolved asap. Good to hear you're less stressed already.

Oh you have gravel eh.

Upon return from said cycle ride, pull a big skid on it. Blame it on a cat in your way. Keep doing it.
As much as I would love to pull a big skid on our little bit of gravel, there is a bloody great Rover Streetwise in the way that hogs the majority of the gravel car parking bit.
Do you know anyone with a turbo you can borrow with a MTB with knobbly tyres
It has crossed my mind. I have a Spesh Hardrock and giving a turbo some serious consideration.

Off for a nice soothing bike ride now.
I have gone as far as I can with 'Everybody Hurts' and 'Back to Black'. I am a bit bored with 'I walk the line' tonight and my fingers are a bit stingy now. Anyway, its 3 minutes to 6 so time to stump about in cycling shoes (not really, I put them on at the door or I fall down the stairs)

Lassie next door, upstairs, says that the Wicked Witch of Wymondham (her words, not mine) is a PITA and she is sick of being whinged at for playing her radio at 8pm. She does concede that she has a point at 4am on a Sunday morning but that's all she concedes.

I have not read all of this thread but the answer is very simple, and I believe you have received this advice from others.

"Tell her to fark of
My SIL lived in a first floor flat, while she was away for a weekend I installed a washing machine for her, the guy in the ground floor flat commented that he did not want to hear "that thing going all hours", I washed all my families stuff over a five hour period on a Sunday morning to see if I could get a reaction, not a word.

Thats right, Confidential, but they need armer to go to the HA with, the Info they have the better, if the House or Flat had Damp and Mould, I could get them out faster, but I can only work with the Info that I am building up, and have to read between the lines here ok, so give me a break, and Back off ok,

Your command of the English language and social graces do not fill me with confidence that you can serve a useful role solving in the original posters problems.

Quick update.
We are officially being ignored.
She no longer takes our bin out when she takes hers, although we bring her bin in when we fetch them back in after they have been emptied. We are nice people.
I have chatted with all the surrounding neighbours, 2 flats either side although Clive and Verity live in the next block so our home is not physically connected to their homes, unlike Ellie & Mal. None of them hear us, ever. Even Ellie who shares a wall, so to speak, is unaware of us moving about or playing music. Ellie has asked for the name of my guitar teacher though, as I asked if she could hear the guitar and she said no.
We have had another little chat with the HA and they are not going to supply sound meters etc unless her downstairs bothers to ring them.

Probably for the best. I was very upset when my neighbour started ignoring us a few months ago. I've looked after her like I would my own Mum since her husband died two years ago. I found it upsetting, embarrassing and uncomfortable. But the OH very uncharacteristically said "**** her! What has she ever done for you?" And he's right. She's really cut her nose off to spite her face.

Being ignored is no bad thing, I'm sure you can cope with putting your own bin out. You are never going to be bestest buddies with the woman downstairs are you. As long as she leaves you alone and you get on with the other neighbours then carry on. You know you are doing nothing to antagonise her.

We are delighted ^_^ Silly mare. Heaven knows who we are going to exchange with, when the time comes but I hope its someone with a teenager who plays thrash metal until 11 on the dot.

This Saturday we are going to decorate the bedroom and put a cheap carpet down on the floorboards for a bit of tootsie warmth first thing. No doubt she will be miffed but what the hell. Decorating needs to occur. At least she won't be able to complain about footsteps on the floorboards afterwards.
