So guys and gals to some of you this will be a stupid idea and others it may be something you have done and or thought about doing.

Yesterday I got cut up by a campervan after coming down a hill at speed turning left. This van crossed the road and turned in in front of me causing me to apply the brakes in order to avoid hitting a slow moving vehicle. Any way I wasn't to bothered by this after all through the town he cut through the air providing a warm pocket of air for me to cycle in. Not for long at not at great speed I may add.

The question is though after I was thinking. What are the laws on drafting cars etc? A friend and my self fancy heading out to see for our self the capabilitys of drafting. Open roads or closed roads? If both my self and the driver are aware of the draft in plan surly I can't get stopped for cycling aggressively.
I would suppose that really the only person I could really in danger would be my self?

Anybody know the rules etc on this?

Tractors are better than cars, bigger pocket of air and they tend to top out at about 28mph round out way

I did it when I was young in the 80s . Downhill on the way home from school. After I thought about it a bit thought it willy silly but enjoyed it. It was on a dual carriageway with a 40 limit , luckily there were no junctions for a mile.

Anybody watch Guy Martin doing over 100mph on a bike. Great to watch him in training too
Yeah I did see that. Guy is a legend aswell. Think I may have the same problem as him with speed though haha.
I don't have a lorry to hand either so will make do with a polo gti
