First thing it was saying we would get rain around by now

but the time has gone back to about 1 p.m.

not betting ti will ever arrive!

We got a fair amount this afternoon. Not heavy, but steady light rain for a couple of hours. Plenty to water the plants.

All these posts about a heatwave. What heatwave? Been a crap "summer" so far in the west of Scotland. Three nice days in May, 3 nice days in June. The rest? Cool, rainy, grey, and miserable for the most part. And no sign of it getting better anybtime soon. A wet and chilly June has given way to..... more of the same. Quite incredible the difference a relatively short distance makes.

'Tis blowing a 'hooley' here, but I am lying here, all tucked up in bed, listening to it blowing through the trees outside.

I love it, it takes me back to a cooler time of the year, a bit like hearing rain against the window whilst all tucked up in a nice warm bed too!!

To explain about the trees, I lived for years in a house that had several Aspen trees that I just adored, so I always like hearing the trees now!
