My Dad, who's a very well educated man with post graduate degrees in engineering and metallurgy, blames global warming on heat from aircraft engines rather their emissions. I understand the phenomenon down to the mechanisms that cause it at a molecular level, part of my ES degree course, and he still won't have it. Its the heat!!!

Summer flash flooding is a very common issue.
If I lived in a flooding hot spot I would be very worried, as any rain that hit the soil will just run straight off into the rivers.
