Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
Would this "rare phenomenon" be known as "sunshine" perchance?

Or maybe that rare meteorological phenomenon called "dry".

When we checked yesterday evening the bedroom was at 29.5 degrees

my wife has been instituting a regime of closing windows at strategic times a putting blinds down
to keep the sun out

I am not sure it works - I reckon a blind down in the Sun with a closed window is basically a radiatior!

but as I am not as bothered by the heat I let her do what she thinks is necessary

Oh - AgeUK client today - and 3 days this week (getting as bad as work this volunteering thing
I mean - 3+ hours of it!!!!)

after that I think I might have a ride this afternoon - the inevitable headwind will be better than sitting in the shade and over heating!!

It works.

Our house peaked at 25C yesterday, when it was 34C outside.

Open the windows and doors first thing to let the cooler air in then close them, and the curtains on windows that catch the sun, as soon as it starts warming up..

Definitely best way to keep indoors cool. Air outside is hot. We feel cool in a breeze because we sweat and our sweat evaporates.
