So, word is there's a thaw on the way. All this snow will melt, and half the country will be flooded instead. I'm 200 metres ASL and near the top of thenholl so I'm smugly safe, but others of you could be getting wet feet rather soon.

Flooded at the bottom of my garden in 2007. That was the only time although it sometimes gets squishy down there. Water table is quite low so squishy might be the extent this time. However - out in the valley I expect the usual suspect roads will go under.

65m ASL no problem. Gets a bit waterlogged down at the Alconbury's with the Alconbury and Mile Brook flowing through both villages. Rather depends on how rapid the thaw is and any weather events this week.
