I expect s/he'll (or they'll) be bragging about it in the pub or at work (or more than likely down the job centre for someone with such social skills who'd employ them for long). Hopefully they are going to drop themselves up to their necks in it.

All too common, the boys from the Hadleigh MTB were picking tacks up this weekend. Granted at high speeds it's a lot more dangerous. There are some malicious idiots about

Ridiculous. As said above this is clearly pre planned and very malicious.

Also ridiculous is the comments the article attracts. Instead of sensible people expressing disgust at one or more humans trying to injure, perhaps even fatally, others, they make fun of it and bring up the same anti cyclist arguments RE tax, red lights, insurance etc.

Cyclists should be banned from the roads until they pay to use the roads, pay for the stupid cycle lanes, and take out compulsory 3rd party insurance. The roads are for cars and paid for by car drivers. Cyclists are a hazard unto other road users. Ban them now!"

If they catch the person who put the pins in the road they should give him a medal. This is what this world has come to when the most important thing for the police to do is search for somebody putting drawing pins in the road"

I'd love to make these pricks eat some of those pins!Grrr!!:cursing:

I pay 160 pound road tax for six months, 60 pound car insurance A month im a wagon driver, which costs my company thousands of pounds a year to keep me on the road, and these clowns think i shouldnt be on the road with my bike, when i problys have better road sense than these deluded fools !

Sounds like someone with a very large chip on their shoulder, hopefully they will catch up with them before they move onto something even more serious.

Puzzle game procrastinator!
I was so enraged at a huge number of comments from the Daily Heil fascists I wanted to go to where it was printed and thread razor blades into the very fabric of the pages. Is that SO wrong?

Anyway, to prevent my blood reaching boiling point, I simply switched to a more favourable source. http://road.cc/content/news/131686-rider-punctures-80kph-saboteurs-target-valleys-velo-sportive
It didn't work for me - I still got really annoyed!

I liked the suggestion that the UK should introduce a 'Reckless endangerment' law. With that law in place, the culprit could be found guilty of a serious offence without needing to prove intent to injure or kill.

Same here! If they think i should pay "road tax" to use that crumbling pot holed road that caused my alloy bottle cage to snap yesterday then they are indeed stupid '#@ts!
