Really annoyed with myself. A couple of miles from home after a 60 mile club ride turned left around a corner and the bike just slid away from me.

Damage not to bad to bike, both shifters scratched and bent, rear skewer scrapped and handlebar tape scuffed.
Bibs, jacket and shoe covers ripped. Helmet took a Big Bang , glad it wasn't my head that hit the road that hard.
Starting to stiffen up and bruises coming through.

Just as a reminder to all....

Them roads are slippy. Don't let your guard down.

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
Sorry to hear of your accident. Get well soon. And be careful.

Nasty.
I always used to ask about the bike first but having done it myself I realise that can be fixed.
I on the other hand take bloody ages to heal! Hope you don't.

Had the same about 2 weeks ago on a patch of diesel...slippy stuff.

Same happened to me yesterday. Turned right into a side road and bike went straight from underneath me without warning. Bibs damaged, hole in my brand new gloves. Rear mech and pedals grazed ...as was my leg but that will heal.

It is very slippy out there at the moment.
