Hi there, I am totally new to this site but found it in my search for bike alarms. We ride some lovely uprights (DaVinci Sydney & Marino Tourismo) but are looking for an alarm for our Chameleon Tandem Recumbent Trike. Basically we can take the seat off and it can't be ridden, and can throw a lock on the wheel but would like an alarm for an upcoming trip to Europe from Canada :-) I'd appreciate any more info you folks have on this topic. BTW, I am in Alberta Canada & thus where I can purchase in Canada would be wonderful info. Cheers, 2longing2bent

I have two of those devices.... I wanted to buy one for my friend but all the places that sell it have sold out, including the one on the link above.

I think they are very good, terribly loud. Battery does not last too long though, I guess about 15 days.

Okay so I ended up going for the SecureSight AP08 alarmed padlock. Haven't used it out and about in anger yet as it only arrived today but I tested it at home and it was pretty painful...will feel better knowing it will give a possible thief a fright and hopefully a burst eardrum!

Slightly OT...... but I noticed you locking the wheel on your tandem

Recumbent trikes can be difficult to lock, but I have found the answer in the MasterLock Street Cuffs

One cuff fits on the frame, and the other to street furniture. Alternatively if you place the furniture in the angle of the cruciform, one cuff on the arm and one on the boom will secure the machine. The circumference of the cuff is ideal for 50 mm tubing

They are based in the US and should be available to you
