I used to rent dvd's from love film a few years ago. You pay a monthly charge and then they post them to you, then you post them back.
Only problem was that for the cheapest monthly rate you were limited to I think 2 films per month. If you wanted a real good turnaround of movies you would have to have payed quite a lot more in subs.
That was quite a while ago though. Not even sure if it still exists, what with online movie services like Netflix and the like. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

I use Lovefilm and find them to be reliable and have really good customer service. Their range (compared to online streaming) isn't the best but I've very few complaints.

Their cheapest one now is streaming only to match netflix. The rental and streaming is £10 a month and the limit is two DVDs at home at once. By at home they mean not at lovefilm. They're pretty good at sending more out on the days your last rentals reach them by post. Worth it if you get through a lot of films. Some of the the films are available at an extra charge when they first come out if you're on the £10 a month subscription. We've never bothered and can wait a bit. A nowtv box costs £10 posted form sky including one month subscription. It's £8.99 a month after that, no contract. They have a limited umber of films so depends on your taste. Netflix is streaming only and you can log in via a virgin media set top box too. We go for lovefilm as they have the biggest range and haven't had a problem with deliveries. It's possible to see what lovefilm offer before you subscribe as it might not be for you. There's loads of offers fora months free subscriptions for all of them. The only thing with lovefilm is to make sure the discs are back before the trial runs out or you'll be charged for another month. You can only watch so many films but they have the biggest choice.
