Easter eggs....

....I expect many of you will be scoffing these this weekend, overdosing on chocolate, and a grand tradition for sure. Last year I arrived back in the UK a few days after Easter, and was looking forward to picking up a bargain egg or three at the local supermarket, but alas none to be found. Several shops later - still no joy.
This long-held misers chocfest must now be a thing of the past, I can only assume.
This year I'll be over there mid April, and my mum has already been tasked with having one waiting at the house on my arrival........

...I know it's the same chocolate as a chocolate bar, but some how it tastes better as an egg. I also eat way more of the egg than I would a normal choccie bar, and not feel guilty......cos it's Easter I guess

My mum always gave us money rather than buying overpriced chocolate.
One Easter I bought a wee cheepy fishing reel for a hand-me-down rod.

I never caught anything except hours of enjoyment just sitting on the Teviot's banks. Life was so simple then.

I spent last night hiding eggs about the house and crafting clues as to their location. It's a fun gift to celebrate spring and the rising of zombie Jesus!

Oh yeah, but I went to my local independent chocolatier, no Cadbury rubbish...
