I love all veg, can't understand people who turn their nose up at it. I especially enjoy Sprouts.
Such a versatile little veg. Boil them, fry them, roast them.......lubberly!
Picked this little stick up from our little smallholder across the road for 50p. Beat that!

I agree, greens are great. They are cheap here too although sprouts are not available. My wife had gone veggie and I’m about 90% now.. She has a Vitamix and blends all sorts of veg for the family to drink. Of course we have access to pineapple, coconut, mango. Cocoa is grown here and very nutritious too, we blend it with coconut water, try it. My nine year old who would never touch anything green now loves a ‘sandwich’ which I make for him with brown bread, tuna, tomatoes and lettuce. If I don’t include the lattice he complains!

I do miss sprouts.

I do love veg, I've said for some years now I could almost go vegetarian but do like meat although not too much of it.

Swede :hungry:, any greens, carrots, lovely. My wife just got a soup maker. I'm not a soup lover, especially thick soup but I've been re-educated, she made a simple potato, carrot, Swede and a dash of garlic soup..gorgeous i have to say. There'll be even more veg eaten in our house now.

My missus has just got a great looking recipe for roast sprouts and chestnuts. It looks very good - we'll be trying it next week.

Sprouts on a stalk! Oh how we laughed when that trend started after years of having to de-stalk them before sale.

What do peeps do with the de-sprouted stalks?

We're great eaters of veg here chez Casa Reynard. Had good veg hunting in Tesco last night as well; green beans, sugar snap peas, carrots, cauliflower, kalettes and a celeriac. With what's already in the fridge, I'll have a good couple of weeks' worth for suppers and soups.
