Mercifully, I already have a 531 Zeus 2000 I had re-sprayed by Bob Jackson in Saronni Red.

Otherwise my wallet might be £200-odd lighter and you'd have heard on ITV Granada news tomorrow evening about my body being discovered in a local park by a dog walker .

At £1.16 it would have been a rather good buy for someone!

Happily (for the owner) it ended up making £340 plus change. Not too bad perhaps in the current market-climate?

I'm tempted but I'm wary of pre-war A-series hubs as (if it's like the pre-war AM) the gear ring has discontinuous dogs and the pawls slip intolerably in normal gear. They used splines later on and solved the problem. I think I'll hold out for an AC.
