If you do get some and survive the first ride can you let me know what the clearance is like for mudguards? I have been looking for a new fork that can take 28mm tyres and a decent guard, but what to do it on the cheap.
Scratch that - I just saw no mounts for the guards.
I've got EC90 Sl's, tapered steerer, on my Burls, and have had no issues with them, coming up on 55K miles in 4 years commuting on poor roads all year round.
You got me thinking. I am not looking at https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/223350534542 sold by Merlin Cycles, so hopefully not dangerous. I can use a clip on guard at just £27 delivered! I have asked them about max tyre width, let's see what their reply is.
