His vehicles' attractiveness ranked alongside Charles Alexanders' during the obsessive collect and record everything everything phase of my life.

Only 56 year old too.

I'm a Norbert Dentressangle man. Sad news though.

Yes, RIP Eddie...
(Though I'm a bit of a Preston's of Potto man....)

Me too (well, woman). On long motorway trips I like to spot a Prestons, a Stobbie, and a Norbert. Then it's onto Longs of Leeds, James Irlam and Knights of Old.

At one time I was doing enough trips to notice that you get more Prestons on the A1 corridor than the M1...

RIP Eddie. I didn't realise he was so young, I assumed the company had a history going back to the mists of time - seems he only took over the truck part in 1976 (which may be a long time ago to some, but not to me!)

Do you give bonus points for The Shore Porters' Society ( Established 1498 ) ?

Edit: Oh hell! I missed out the apostrophe.

Wow, I didn't know about them, never knowingly seen a van of theirs - do they have liveried trucks? I have a new purpose in life!

Do they have liveried trucks?
