I recently returned to cycling after a 30 year break and at the age of 78 with COPD I went for the Carrera Crosscity electric fold-up.
I find that after around 20 miles at power setting Nr2, the battery dies and then because I am also pushing the motor it becomes HARD WORK. I am not looking for speed just an enjoyable ride out.
Would I be better off with a conventional bike rather than electric? Fortunately living in West London there are not many hills. Any advice would be most welcome, thanks.
