Electric pumps

Pump has arrived and it works. Just tested a couple times and seems good
Only query I have is how accurate is the gauge, has anyone tested against a known calibrated gauge etc?

@super_dave have you checked it alongside a known good gauge?
Or anyone else for that matter

According to the stuff I watched on the GCN videos the gauges on an electric pump is far mere accurate than most track pumps.

I set it to 70psi and it seemed higher than compared to my (cheap) track pump which of course I have no idea how good that is. Issue is whenever I connect then release track pump it loses some air so can never get it perfectly set to a given figure. The Cyclami at least sets to 70 then shuts off at set point and stays there when removed.

Another useful feature is it'll charge off a mobile phone with a usb-c to usb-c cable so very handy.

The GCN guys are big on tyre pressure as according to research they have done if the optimum pressure for you, your wheels and your tyres is 80psi and your are riding with them at 85 psi you are wasting x amount of watts. This may be completely irrelevant to you.

They need to be for safety. However the gauge on my Turbo Morph has stayed very accurate for 15+++ years.

They seem very accurate. My cheap broken one is still accurate as is my cyclic lookalike that for some reason cost 5p, delivered !

I'd be sceptical if all were that thorough. Would be good to know how accurate gauge is though. Quite possibly I've been cycling for years on underinflated tyres due to an inaccurate track pump gauge. I'm almost certainly not only one

And you've no teeth left. I run most of my tubeless road bike tyres around 50psi these days and they'll some times fall to 40psi before I top up. How on earth I rode 23mm tyres at 120psi when I was younger. I don't think my arms would cope these days 😂
