basically, if it wasn't for the tweet, she'd have just knocked someone off for no reason and got away with it totally.. seemingly beggers belief.

She has been driving for 4 years apparently, so the 6 points in the first 2 years don't count.

Not enough evidence to convict under careless driving (hence why some of us run cameras). just one party's word against the other.

It's intresting how reporting an incident and having a collision results in a smaller fine than failing to report, failing to stop and failing to provide police with details of driver.
At least from my experience that is the case.

So when it's cyclists word against motorist's even when the latter had admitted the offence the motorist is still believed! I am also disgusted at her complete lack of remorse for everything except the tweet. And surely she can't get a TV deal out of this .

Isn't that do to with taking responsibility for your part in the incident (ie stopping and being "honest") rather than simply driving away and potentially leaving someone to die from their injuries? Same principle as pleading guilty rather than not guilty?

Not sure, just an assumption on my part.

But there was a witness. I guess that as another cyclist he was deemed biased.
