I just want to throw this into the bucket as well: If 2012 is our last year, then what a year!

We have broken numerous records (Highest skyjump, Olympics, etc). And personally, my life is at a high ATM (started degree, got free laptop and stuff). Although I would be mighty pissed off if the world did end as I have a deposit down for a new bike in January!

I think it would be good for the world to end. Because for once, what we have predicted will actually come true.

Also, the weather is building up to something. There have been a record number of storms, strange things are happening around the world. And an asteroid is actually going to pass Earth on the 21st!

Sounds like there might be something to look forward to!

My maths is crap, but when you start to think about it, the speed of light is 186000 miles per second, so that's something like 669600000mph
Ok, now how fast can we go? We might be able to travel faster now, but the Apollo missions flew to the moon at 17,500mph, so, even at that speed, that's, what, 4 miles a second? So, its going to take ..... Umm..... Fookin' AGES!..... Quite literally..... And that's only one year!!

Looking at the top of the screen, it seems the afterlife is an eternity of the expanding range of Shaun's 'Chat' forums?

Ah, the multiverse theory, where a new chat universe is generated when two 11 dimensional branes touch somewhere near the Humber.*

Besides, even if they had predicted the end of the world, who would believe them? If they could predict that, they would have seen the Spanish coming.

but no body expects the spanish inquisition (if we work hard enough we can make the spanish inquisition joke appear to future generations as some form of 1500's torture or something)

Someone shouted, I aked what

I know, he was calling my comment about not being bothered to work out how long it would take to go 8 and a half light years at 17,500mph a classic.

I just decided to smile and wave at the time

UPDATE: I might do it later (I had actually been waiting for someone to complete it for me, but no such luck! I was in 'spud' maths at school ).
