endomondo auto pause

I went for a ride today and endomondo auto pause stopped the timer when I was still going and then started it again couple of seconds later.

how does the auto pause actually work thought it was when you stop it stops but looks like it is when you drop below certain speed.

when I got home I turned off auto pause.

I think there is or was a setting that paused if you fell below 5mph....
I just let it run as the mile times let me know how I'm doing....
I noticed Strava gives you a total 'moving time' only if required.....

I think its when you stop, mine has a few seconds delay. Dont think it is below 5mph as i dont change my settings and use endo for walking / hiking and i go under 5mph whilst doing so

Remember that phones GPS's are not very accurate. So if you are moving slowly, the GPS can tell Endomondo you've stopped. IF Endomondo has auto pause set to a low figure... Well you get the idea. That assume you can change the auto pause timer. I've never looked.

Fake edit: I cannot change the auto pause timer on my Android premium version. Anyway, you stop when cycling?

There is something weird about Endomondo with auto pause.
I have two phones and have certainly noticed a slower average speed when using one of them. Both with auto pause turned on. Distances show as near identical.

I don't really use any other app so cannot comment further there.

I find that the Endomondo auto-pause lags real stops and starts by several seconds. I also use BikeBrain on my phone and it seems to record the actual ride time more accurately than Endomondo.

Hi there are several topics about it, but I couldn't find the one explaining how to do it.

Here is the contents of my signature box .
http://locksrandomwebservices.appsp...cki&gid=528&goal=0005000&units=km

Change the user= to your cycling log username. Change the goal and units as required. Be aware that it can take several hours after adding a ride to mycyclinglog for it to update your signature

Ach. something's cut down the text... I cannot find a way to turn BB codes off as I assume they are changing the editing.

Try :
http:// locksrandomwebservices. appspot.com/MyCyclingLog Progress?user=Lanzecki&gid= 528&goal=0005000&units=km

I added 3 spaces that'll need removing to show the entire line. Hope that helps.
