Endomondo login question

When I set up my Endomondo account, I logged in using facebook.
However, there is an option to login without using it, anyone know how this works? I tried my regular FB email and password but it gave the message "you don't have a password, login with facebook instead."
I just want to be able (if possible) to login to Endo without facebook monitoring my every move.

I login via a googlemail account that i only ever use for Endomondo and android apps on my phone.

If the previous isn't clear:

On the phone app, go to settings->User->Sign Up with email.

Then you can put in your email address and choose a password, and that will create an account that has no connection with your facebook account.
